This years World Champs will each receive a trophy and the team will share $1,500 in prize money. We are eager to see if our Defending Champs from 2022 still have what it takes to win it all. Seven Qualifying Stomps were held at the Sonoma County Fair in August, and those winners will also compete in the Finals. Winners from the Harvest Fair Qualifying Stomp will move on to the World Championship Finals at 3 p.m. Other classic choices like togas, matching t-shirts adorned with grape leaves and even trash bags with holes for arms and legs can’t compete with the ultimate grape stomp uniform, previous years’ stomp shirts! Each member of every stomp team receives a commemorative t-shirt after they stomp. Over the years, stomp teams have appeared costumed as just about everything, including Lucy & Ethel, bunches of grapes, superheroes and even a full wedding party. All teams are encouraged to get creative with their costumes. Underage winners get non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice. Costume winners receive bottles of Sonoma County wine. Admission to the fairgrounds is free.īefore the official stomping begins, teams can compete in the Costume Competition.
